How much is your phone bill?

We were just reading an article in the LA Times, about the ridiculously high costs of prison phone bills. The journalist mentions one example out of a million, writing about a dad who spends 400$ a month to stay in touch with his son in prison.  That is outrageous!

And as for most families that is a huge burden, and it forces people to sometimes choose between eating and being supportive of their loved ones.  Not only is that a tough choice to make, but it’s unfair and unjust.
